Flyfish Brule 7-21-04
Me, Jer, Risto and Brett fished the Brule on sat 21st. Fished up by 13
upstream from bridge. Caught 5 small fish all under 8" beautiful
Rainbows and brookies off of pass lake and beadheads. Risto caught 5,
brett 3, jer 12??



Fished down by the lake off B I believe after lunch. I caught 4, risto
1, jer 5.



Fished at the lake at night with Mice for 45 min, no bites for all of
us, then it started raining

Kinni 6-30-04
Fished the kinni with jer, gary, kelt, loren. Kelt caught 1 3". Loren missed one right away off harry mink. Gary had a few strikes on adams iRrestable. Started 10-9pm

Jeremy caught 9 most off prince nymph bead si2 14 or 16

I caught 8 2 off adams dry and the others off harry mink. I guess tricos were coming off earlier until 10am. Not much caddis coming off around sunset. Got rained out right after dark

Lots canoes and quite a few fisherman.

6-26-04 kinni & rush
Fished rush 11-5. Sporatic hatch small brown duns laying low in water no hackle. Jeremy caught 9 at rush 12", mine was also 12" and I caught 2 on bead hares. Jeremy caught on sz 16 beaded prince. Dan got 4, jeaves 1. Kelt missed a few on black wetfly.
Dan caught 4 at cave way up. Water was low

Kinni- Jer caught 15, mosquito fly at dusk. I got 9- big was 15" missed many on bad knots (fish kept on stealing my flies, white and green 16-18sz, DUNS. Kelton got 2 at dusk on mosquito. Loren missed a few. Fished 7.30-10. Fishing was great!

6-24-04 Rush Report

Fished to Rush on Stonehammer. Started 7.10pm-10.15pm Caught a few on size 16 green dun. also size 16 white cahill. Caught one on copper john size 16.

Jeremy was slaying the fish on a size 14 bead and no bead hares ear. He caught a few on light cahill. Hatch was going strong when I arrived at 7pm. Died at 7.45pm Jeremy said hatch was good starting at 6pm

Jeremy caught 20 fish probably from noon-9.30p He had a big one bust off, it went upstream and downstream and then under some logs in the water. I caught 5 fish biggest 11" Jeremy's biggest was 12.75"

Got to the river at around 7.25pm. Jeremy and I fished downstream. I had 4-5 fish and the biggest was 11.5"

Jeremy caught 4 fish and his biggest was a 15" brown hog!!
We caught them on Lt. Cahill, brown Drake, size 18-20 black
and white spinner, also caught the big fish on size 18
light cahill. I caught some on cahill and green dunn. I caught one fish on harry mink size 14.

Fishing was lame after 10pm. The fish were feeding less
than last night. Weather was nice.

6-21-04 Rush

Fished the rush somewhere south of Martell and north of El Paso. I ended up with 4 fish on drys. Size 16 was working but more size 18. Green duns were working good, elk hair caddis 14-16. Light cahill size 16. Brown drakes size 12 were coming off the water. Spinners were in thw water but fish didn't seem to be keyed in on them.
Dan H ended up with 6-8, biggest was around 12" around dark
Jeremy also had around 9-10 fish biggest 13.5".

He also lost a big one over 20".
Beautiful spot, dan lost rod tip and needs a headlamp.

Kinni 6-18-04
Me and Jeremy went to the kinni, started @ 7.15pm. I wanted to try out my green sparkle duns and pale yellow Duns.
We fished dries the green duns is what seemed to be working in a si2 16. Also some smaller flys were out. Jeremy lost his fly so he used one of my green duns with sparse wings. We headed up from Quarry and seemed to catch em in pairs, we caught fish in about 5 pools. I was using 2 flys until tangles started coming. Most of the action was around 8.30-10

I caught 10 fish, 12" the biggest. Jeremy caught around 15 and he had some 10-11".
The weather was cold and the fish weren't as active as wed

I tried zonker and muddler after darkwith no luck. My hand are cold and that's the report.

kinni 6-16-04

Jeremy and went to the Kinni on wed 6-16. We didn't start fishing until about 7.30. Started fishin with pink squirrel, jeremy used prince nymph. We both caught a few. Hit a pool and the fish were rising, so I tied on a DARK hendrickson, lost the first one on first cast because I was using 7x and tied a poor knot. NO MORE 7X for me if I can help it!!!

I ended up with around 7 fish, 3-4 on drys...no big ones 10" Jeremy said he hit a huge patch of rising fish and caught around 20.
It was a little fusterating at tmies overcast, not much light to tie on flies...plus I tangled 3 times.

6-3 Cave Cr. Caught 3 and the big one is mine. Nymphining

6-4 Up by Martell caught 7, kept 3. 50% off Light Cahill dry around dark with a hare's ear size 14 no bead--trailing.
6-5 - Fished 3pm - 9pm . Caught 2 off dry at dusk Light Cahill size 16 I believe. Down by cr10. Brett R. caught 3-4 also
6-12 cave caught 5 - big 12"
6-14 lost by rush 5 - big 12"
